Artist and The Innovative Co LLC Will Share Profits from The Sale of Hot Hippo Sauce
Hot Hippo’s main ingredient is the very hot – in taste and popularity – peri-peri pepper, claimed by some to be the hottest pepper in Africa. The peri-peri – also known as the African devil – has a unique, wonderful flavor that’s got hot sauce users all heated up. Hot Hippo is a great way to introduce your palate to this delicious pepper, which is widely used in countries such as Mozambique, South Africa, Zimbabwe, and Portugal, and is increasingly popular in the U.S.
The colorful and amusing Hot Hippo label is also the first created for The Innovative Company by an artist who won the label design contest co-sponsored by Innovative and the Connecticut Art Directors Club. Beth Ann Strong will be given royalties on the sale of every bottle of Hot Hippo.
“I had fun creating the artwork and copy for the label,” says Strong. “I’m always looking for creative outlets and a chance to do something out of the ordinary. The Innovative Company has started a new tradition that provides opportunities for graphic designers to apply their ideas – and earn some bragging rights in the process.”
So, enjoy the hottest new pepper flavor and support the arts at the same time.
